Crocodiles/Alligators

Crocodiles are known for their strong jaws and agility when it comes to catching prey. What is not known, however, is their one weakness when pursuing food, or you.  Any species belonging to the family Crocodylidae(crocodile) or of the family Alligatoridae (alligator) has the distinct inability to run in a zig zag pattern in the presence of dense forest or large obstacles. The length of their bodies is the chief factor responsible for this running problem.

For a quick example, think of a pencil as being the body of the crocodile or the alligator including the tail. Now place a few obstacles on the table that the crocodile must avoid, these obstacles should be placed in such a manner that would cause the crocodile to wiggle through them. Take the pencil and try to zig zag it through the obstacles. As you can see, the end of the pencil hits all the obstacles, preventing the crocodile from zig zagging properly in between the objects.

This weakness is fortunate for those who remember it in the life or death situation of running from a vicious crocodile. Always remember, head for the forest, a large boulder field or simply begin throwing large objects in the path of the pursuing creature, the croc will get stuck and your life will be saved.

Bears

Bears cannot run downhill. They are known to be back heavy and will tumble end over end if forced to run straight down a steep hill. Therefore, you will only ever see a bear attempting to run sideways down the hill, thus preventing the bearvalanche.

So remember, if persued by a bear, head for the nearest steep hill. It could save your life.*
